The economy had taken a nosedive, and I was standing on a piece of land I couldn't sell, looking at a future I couldn't figure out. Started with a beat-up dump truck I bought for $480 (had to talk the guy down from $500 because that's literally all I had). That old truck didn't even have working brakes on the back - had to use vice grips to get it home.
But here's where it gets interesting. People started asking, "Hey, can you make this flat?" Sure, I grew up on a farm - I knew my way around a tractor. So I borrowed my dad's old farm tractor, brought out a box blade, and got to work. That was the beginning.
